For all those craft-makers, collectors, and lovers of art out there, you will love the new embroidery digitizing that if quickly becoming very popular. Some of those people who love to decorate their homes for every holiday, including Arbor Day and Martin Luther King Day, actually enjoy making their own decorations. They are blessed enough to have the time to be able to do that. However, for most of us, once we reach the age of 18, we don't have time to do these types of things, however much we may want to. With embroidery digitizing, we don't have to take the time to make our own artwork-but we can still have it if we want it. We can even go so far as to decide exactly what image or picture we want to be embroidered. Embroidery digitizing offers us options that we couldn't have had years ago (though life seemed to move much slower years ago as well).
When I found out about embroidery digitizing, I threw away all of my old, falling-apart decorations and replaced them with my very own embroidered art. I have my own American flag, my own nativity scene, my own Easter bunny collecting Easter eggs, and even my own turkey. Each piece of art is professionally made and makes my house a more welcoming place to be in. Friends and family are constantly asking me where I got such fun and beautiful wall hangings. The best thing about having all of these wonderful pieces of embroidered art is that I didn't have to sacrifice any time to get them. I can get them whenever I want to and the options are limitless.
If you want to choose your own design/image, there are a few things that you need to remember. First, while most images can be converted into a digital form that create delightful pieces of art, some images simply will not have the effect you imagined it would have. Complex designs or patterns require hours of extra work by embroidery design professionals who have to tweak and change many small details to make the piece as a whole more unified and possible to be stitched by sewing machine. Even the simpler images require hours of tweaking, but not nearly as much as the complex pieces do. While it is certainly worth it to try to convert any picture you wish to convert, keep in mind that no piece, no matter how good of a job a professional does perfecting it, will look exactly like the original. Print pieces aren't really meant to be embroidered pieces. It is somewhat ironic that the finished piece can be so delightful, but they are all the same.
The only downside to the wonderful invention of embroidery digitizing is that it is slightly more expensive than creating a piece by hand. However, for most of us, time is gold. Paying a little bit extra to have something you dearly want but don't have the time or the skills to get it is always worth it, no matter how small your budget.
Take a risk and try out digitized sewing. You won't be disappointed. Ingrained in every human being is the love of and need for beautiful things. Having an embroidered piece of art in your home will bring a little bit of that longed-for beauty that everyone needs to have in their life. And besides, your friends and family will be much more impressed by something that looks like it was homemade than by something that looks like you bought at the grocery store.
